You are THE pilot, around Grenoble, accompanied by an Aéro-Club du Dauphiné instructor.
You can choose between two options: 1 h 30 (2 flights of 45 minutes) or 3 h (4 flights of 45 minutes).
Aeroplane trial flying lesson
This is a “trial flying lesson” around Grenoble. After a briefing, you take the pilot's seat, accompanied by a qualified instructor who will answer all your questions and introduce you to the joys of flying – from take-off to landing. Over one or more flights, the aim is to see how the aircraft is handled, feel how sensitive the controls are and understand the pilot's role before committing to training. It always leaves an unforgettable memory.
How much? The prices of the two passports are shown below; they are bought on the FFA website, enviedepiloter.fr (in French).

In practice
- Flight made with an instructor approved by the Aéro-Club du Dauphiné
- Local flight, no more than 40 km from the departure airfield
- Pre-flight briefing: basics of flight (role of the controls, the engine and the instruments), pre-flight inspection, safety instructions
- Duration: 1 h 30 (2 flights of 45 minutes) or 3 h (4 flights of 45 minutes)
- Post-flight debriefing: sharing your impressions and answering any questions

- 1 initial training progress logbook (digital, as a PDF).

2026 season rates, at Le Versoud. Passports are bought on the FFA website, enviedepiloter.fr (in French).
When the “Initiation au Pilotage” licence expires, the holder may take out an annual pilot licence to continue flight training; the flying hours completed under these two passports then count towards pilot training.
