The Aéro-Club du Dauphiné, a long history…

The Aéro-Club du Dauphiné was born in 1928.

Since refocusing on powered flight in 1991, the club has entered its modern era, with strong growth. In the best years, flying hours have approached 10,000. This is due to the growth in the size and quality of its fleet, around 25 aircraft, and of course of its membership. The ACD's strength today is that it offers almost every facet of light aviation: flight school, trips – including long-distance ones – aerobatics, mountain flying, microlights, night flying and formation flying.

The club relies on a structured organisation: offices, head of training, safety manager, chief pilot, instructors, workshop. It is open 7 days a week all year round at its two airfields, Le Versoud and Saint-Geoirs, and regularly at Alpe d'Huez.

But let us leave the last word (in 2020) to Pierre Courrier, to whom we owe the research and writing of our history:
